The Crow Lady, Barbara Waterman-Peters, is an introduction to Kansas artist Barbara Waterman-Peters, for young readers. It explores her interest in and identification with crows, asking readers to use their imagination as they think about crows, flying and art. Barbara has provided four sketches of crows and 26 of her paintings to illustrate the book.  While the first part of the book is intended to engage younger readers, the second section is appropriate for readers of all ages. It provides insight into the artist and her work, with many passages contributed in her own words. There are references at the end of the book to guide readers toward additional information about Barbara, crows, art and flying.
